Risk Assessment Training

It is a requirement that all areas of work are risk assessed. These risk assessments need to be undertaken to prevent accidents occurring. Life & Rescue International’s Trainers and Assessors have extensive experience in completing Risk Assessments for a variety of high risk environments. Our knowledge and experience allows us to effectively train students in identifying, management and reviewing risks in order to complete tasks safely and efficiently. 

Management, employees and contractors need to be pro-active in identifying workplace hazards, the associated risks and implementing control measures.

This course is designed to develop participants in the overall risk assessment process.

• Understanding risk, risk assessment and risk management
• Re-active and pro-active risk management
• Legal requirements for risk assessment
• Roles and responsibilities in the risk assessment process
• Typical workplace hazards
• Heirarchy of controls
• How to risk assess
• Completion of risk assessment documentation
• Emergency procedures
• Managing and reviewing the risk assesment process

VOCATIONAL OUTCOMES:

• Upon satisfactory completion of this course, participants will be issued with a statement of attainment recognised within the Australian Qualifications Framework and issued under authority of the National Vocational Education and Regulator Act 2011 for competency RIIRIS201A, Conduct local risk control.
